CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Bob Poovey founded Champion Thread Company in 1979. As Chief Executive Officer, he sets corporate strategy, culture, values, and
behavior. Bob built and leads the senior executive team and continues to take an active role in CTC’s new product development.
Over his 50-year career in the textile industry, Mr. Poovey has worked with several leading thread and related companies. He currently serves as a Director for Minnewawa, Inc. (TN-based narrow fabrics manufacturer) and has been a past Director of the North Carolina Textile Foundation. He is a veteran of the United States Army and attended North Carolina State University.
